Cheryl Cole is reportedly refusing to return to the UK version of The X Factor, unless Simon Cowell agrees to double her fee.
The former Girls Aloud star was sacked from the US series earlier this week and insiders say ITV are now keen for her to come back to to their fold.
However, she?s not going to make it easy for show bosses and a source told The Sun:
?It is humiliating for Cheryl.
?She believes she should be handsomely compensated for it.?
?Cheryl loves the show and the fans, but she?s holding a strong deck of cards.?
If Simon agrees, the pay-rise will see Cheryl?s fee rising to just over 2million.
It is thought that Cole?s new manager will.i.am is now in talks with the TV channel, trying to broker a deal.
An ITV source added:
?We are trying to sort this out quickly. Time is running out. The first filmed auditions are in Birmingham on Wednesday.?
